Who We Are
The Center for Socio-Environmental Support is a mechanism to mobilize resources, support and build capacities of grassroots environmental groups.
Mission
Its mission is to promote environmental conservation and sustainability, democracy and social justice by supporting and strengthening the capacities and initiatives of civil society in South America.
Objective
Its objective is to expand the action of civil society organizations that deal with environmental and social sustainability challenges as part of the process of eradicating poverty, bolstering democracy, promoting justice, dignity and quality of life in South America.
The Center for Socio-Environmental Support (CASA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in Brazil that mobilizes and channels financial and capacity-building support for the social and environmental initiatives of NGOs and community organizations. Thus, the Center seeks to create conditions for persons and groups to strengthen their work and achieve better results with their actions, always aiming at socio-environmental sustainability in the South American territory.

CASA’s Board of Directors works in a voluntary and dedicated fashion to effectively strengthen the South American socio-environmental agenda.
The Board indicates the entities that should be benefited in an articulated and coordinated way, guaranteeing a broader distribution of financing.
All Board members are notably experienced, with national and international recognition for their socio-environmental endeavors. The entities through which they work are well established and have acted as support for the organizations indicated, enabling better monitoring of project execution.
